Summer 2019 (June 17- August 31)

Hard to believe that the kids are back in school (Chris is a freshman, Stephen a sophomore).  1st year of high school for Chris, it's great to have the kids back in the same school again.  So far, so good.  Sophmore year is a lot more academically challenging than freshman, but both boys are doing well.     Stephen is practicing with the basketball team daily except Sundays( he had 2.5 weeks off this summer! ).  Chris would like to go out for freshman basketball, but we have to see how his back is doing.

Stephen got his driving permit mid June.... he'll be ready to test for his probationary license in December (or January depending on when I can schedule him a driving test).  He's doing quite well driving - certainly more observant than his mother!

Steve and I went to Kristen/Ryan's wedding in June.  Everything about it was beautiful/wonderful.  Didn't get a good pic of me/Steve, but it wasn't about us anyway!!

Santa Cruz!!!  Only stephen was brave enough to go in the water!!

Trip to NY to see my folks.  Boys and I stayed in Old Forge for a change of pace.  It was gorgeous!

Mom and Dad came to spend the day in Old Forge.  We took a drive to Raquette Lake - loosely followed the path that dad used to bike!  It is quite a tough bike ride!

Matt was able to come out for a day to see us too.  Bummed I didn't get more pics with him!

The boys and I also went to Ann Arbor to see Steve's folks.  Steve's sister Kate and our nephew Peter were able to come visit as well.  Great time catching up with everyone!

The whole crew except Grandpa

There's Grandpa - at the Gandy Dancer restaruant!

Kate and I visited the Riverwalk in Detroit.  Quite a nice walk - and who knew we were so close to the Canadian border???

Finally got to meet Chris/Sarah's boys!!!!  Andy, Chris and Bryce.  SOOOOO glad Sarah was able to come for a quick visit!!

My boys on their way to school on a Liturgy day.  Gotta dress up for church!  Love it!

Hope everyone had a great summer - and honestly it is still summer, so I hope the fun continues!  Much love from us!
