Baseball cards - surprise box in the mail!

Many thanks to M&D who sent a box of sports cards in the mail!  Lot of good cards in there, some rookies in both basketball and baseball (apparently rookie cards are good, esp. if the players make it to the hall of fame for their sport).  This pic shows Chris and Steve sorting thru the cards as Stephen looks thru a few while talking to dad on the phone.  Note that Steve has control of the box!

Valentines Day

Usually not a big holiday in our house, but this year it was pretty festive!  We decided to decorate the cookies that were left over from Chris' Valentine's Day party at school, we all got some treats, and I even tried to make chris a heart pancake without a mold :-)

Painting with Stephen

Stephen's art teacher hosted a fundraiser.... a "directed paint" class.  She taught some painting techniques as we all painted the "same" picture.  Everyone's came out different and they were all pretty good.  Great fundraiser, a lot of fun.  So nice to do something with Stephen!

Bad cat in a bowl

Seems like there are a lot of cat posts.....

BRUCE!

Not my picture to post, but I love it so much I couldn't resist.  Mom and Matt at the Springsteen concert in Albany!!  Good job Matt!!

Basketball

Stephen's Prime basketball team (6th grade) was short players, so Chris (#34) got to play on Stephen's (#43) team.

Cat pic

Steve says this is the best cat pic ever.  The cats are sitting where the heat vents blow the hardest.  I think the pic makes Boots look positively svelte!

Field trip to Lawrence Livermore Labs

Chris went on a field trip to Lawrence Livermore Labs.  Cool museum, great lab lessons in light waves, air pressure and more!

Super Bowl City in SF

Turns out that Steve's office building is considered to be right inside Super Bowl City.  Good and bad with that - he has to go thru a security check to get into his building!  On the bright side, he got some Dwight Clark autographs for the kids and my mom!  Steve took the boys over the weekend as well and they got autographs from Roger Craig and some other dude that plays for the Raiders.
